About to turn

Mexican fire cracker

A lovely fuzzy-leaved plant in the window of the gyro place on Alki where K and I ate lunch today. Scientific name Echeveria setosa, according to my phone. The extra is a poor shot but the best I could manage of Mt. Rainier, an extraordinary sight on clear days.

K's house is now officially hers, and we took the first load of things over this afternoon and duly greeted and admired it. It's a tiny house sheltered by two enormous cedar trees, and backed by a trail along a very pretty creek. It has potential for a nice front garden, which K's friend was very excited about. K has her work cut out for her in moving. I fly home on Thursday morning, so only one more day here.

One thing NO ONE will miss from her old apartment, special as it was, are the 33 stairs up to the door! oof! good workout this week.
