Monarch...

…………………………........…….Butterflies



Two of these beautiful butterflies were seen fluttering around the garden today.



This male, identified by the two black dots on its wings, was photographed on the swan plant. The dark background was provided by a corner garden shadows.

The extra photos show the second butterfly, I think it is a female. Looking at the condition and colour of its wings I think it has only recently emerged from the chrysalis.
