The blackthorn is out

On the riverside path on my way to Fareshare. A good morning doing various tasks. When I left I walked as usual into the shopping centre to get a few errands done. Then I walked across to the harbourside, where I saw my fourth film in 5 days. So many very good things out at present. This one was of possible interest to blippers - a biopic of Ernest Cole, the black South African photographer who in the 1960s managed to capture some of the essence of apartheid through his lens .He moved to the US continued to take pictures of what he found in Mississippi and Alabama. It was good to learn about him and his work - and fascinating to revisit the anti-apartheid, civil rights and social justice movements of that time, which I remember well.
