Hiedanranta Water Tower

I met my friend Sanna in the Cafe Ståhlberg in Lielahti area in the afternoon. Before that, I took some pictures in the Hiedanranta area.

Hiedanranta Water Tower was built in 1918. The architect was Birger Federley. At the top of the tower is still the original water tank. The water tower was needed to supply water to the cellulose mill J. W. Enqvist Oy, but it has also served the adjacent Niemi farm. In addition, the tall building was used to dry the hoses of the factory's fire department.

-1,1°C, partially sunny
