Snow falling like eider down
At some point while I was getting up, Steve noticed that it was snowing. By the time I was walking to work, large clumps of flakes were falling, as big as small feathers or eider down.
I stayed indoors at work all day. My client didn’t turn up. There was a brief flurry of funeral activity when I thought I might have to buy a wooden box for my mother’s ashes to be buried in (a ceramic urn is no good, as it is not biodegradable). I was just choosing a paper one instead, in my imagination, when I heard that my brother R had located an Indian Rosewood box somewhere at the back of Bennachie. Sounds like a fairytale, doesn’t it? So I cancelled the other box, and went back to filling in referrals to OT.
My colleague came in at 1pm, and we spent the afternoon together in the office. Then she gave me a lift home via the supermarket, which was fine because I needed to go there anyway..
Back at home, after a couple of chores, I find myself remarkably tired.
