Sally Mair - Loving life

Done!

This morning I picked up Denise at 10.30 and we headed out to Penicuik for the final check through of the Rectory Kitchen. All was well, so we agreed the go ahead. I persuaded the salesperson to print me off a few set of the proposed layout ready for our Vestry meeting tonight. I'm pleased with the end result, work is starting on the 31st, to take out the old kitchen and install the new along with some replacement windows and some internal doors. Hopefully all will go to plan and by the end of next month the new kitchen will be complete along with most of the other work on the Rectory.
When we left the suppliers, we headed along to the Store house to admire the display of Pentland Aromatic goodies and to have a bowl of soup.
Just as we left Penicuik to come back home, the heavens opened and there was a brief and very heavy shower. Just as we turned off for the A702, the temperature warning on the car pinged, 2pm and 4° brrrr. Just a week ago the temperature was almost 10 times that in Kerala!
I made the mistake of coming back via the A702 having forgotten about the roadworks at Hillend, never mind it gave us plenty of time to chat.
The Vestry meeting this evening went well and everyone seemed happy with the kitchen designs. It will be so good to get it underway.
