Baby Chick

This is one of the sixteen pullets we picked up last weekend. Nature has taken a toll on our flock and we were down to three hens. It will be about four months before these chicks start laying. 
This evening, our grandson told me that his new baseball team is the Pirates. Our son played on the Pirates at the same age and I was able to dig up his old ball jacket. Seeing how proud our son was of his son in his team jacket was heartwarming.
