I'll Stand By You . . . The Pretenders

This morning Jen came out to me and we walked on the shared path beside the estuary.  It was full tide and there was a lot of bird life.  Before we even got to the water these two white-faced herons landed on this tall eucalyptus stump.  With the sunshine and reflections in the still water even the Nelson Pine Plant looked good, extra. We saw pied stilts, black swans, ducks, seagulls and a pukeko.  The cyclists were very polite today and rang their bells and even said thank you when we step off the track.
I am way behind with journals but will try to catch up.
