Stroh
Today I went home for the wheat harvest to wait for the straw to dry. We've leased most of our fields (actually all besides the hop yards) to one of our neighbours. We need straw for the horses, though. So we made the deal that we get the straw from one of our own fields back. The harvester was here yesterday evening - and rain started 15 minutes after it left. Hence, the straw was wet and we had to wait for it to dry today - which it didn't. And new rainclouds are already looming behind the horizon. Maybe we are more lucky tomorrow.
The capture shows a stubble field with a row of straw and a hop yard in the background.
