At the end of the West Seattle bridge

...is this beautiful new art mural commissioned at the end of 2024 by USA for UNHCR. I was so surprised when I saw it, about 3000 miles from UNHCR's office in Washington DC, and recognized the logo in the top right corner. USA for UNHCR raises private funding in the US for the UN refugee organization (UNHCR), the agency I used to work for. A press release mentions the effort of local artists in celebrating Seattle's environment, families, Native populations, skyline, and tradition of welcoming refugees.

My last day here, and I'm looking forward to flying back across the country and being home again.
