Frankenstein
Finished the third book of my Bookworm Challenge today; Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (265 pages). This was a weird one for me; I liked Shelley's style, but the plot was largely just travelling?! I realise this is likely because back then travelling was a luxury many couldn’t afford and therefore lived vicariously through the journeys of literature, but I think when you're reading a book about the creation of a monster and you actually miss the creation scene at first because it's barely two sentences, we maybe need to rethink our literary priorities...! I had similar problems with Dracula; I actually had to go back and re-read the scene in which he was killed because I completely missed it, buried as it was in a coach journey..!
