Edinburgh institution

The sign outside Sandy Bells on Forrest Road. On my way to my audiology appointment to get my new hearing aids. Everything sounds louder and it will take a bit of getting used to. Apparently the brain needs to re-learn the things it can ignore, as everything sounds new again. Things like the noise of my shoes on the floor, which sound so loud! My own voice sounds odd too. The man in audiology was excellent - clearly explaining everything and very friendly.
