Controlled burn

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is burning "underbrush and ground cover debris" on Dans Mountain, according to its website. Jill told me about smoke near the recycling center, so I took out the recycling. I didn't see anything there, but I did see this large plume of smoke in the distance.

I drove to the mall, which is on a large hill, and got this photo. The smoke Jill saw was unrelated to this burn.
