Reflections for today
It were hectic days this week, so far... all went well with the surgeon upon my girl's badly broken arm on Tuesday last. They took her away at 1 PM and she was to be returned about 3.30 PM after one hour surgery... it all took longer and longer; 3 hours + a little more the surgery and 6.15 PM when she returned with her arm in plaster and a "brace".
The final hour of her in theatre made me a little nervous as the staff from the ward where they and me were waiting for her, could not tell me but "She still in surgery" In the meantime I received a call from her papa (my ex) on Crete and when he learned from me that she'd not yet returned from surgery and I couldn't tell him how much longer that would last... he raised his voice in anger and told me to do that to them in his name... I said I wouldn't. ANyway, our girl settled him with a call after her return from theatre. As her operation was planned as "day care therapy" I had to take her home, 2 hours after she'd returned from a 3 hours surgery! I was flabbergasted, took her to my home as she could lay freely in my double sized bed. No sleep for her coz of pains and the following morning we returned to the hospital (120 kms away from my home). there she was helped adequately and I took her in better shape to her house and afterwards to mine again for a good night's sleep. Now we are about to return to her home again, where we probably will stay... altho' I wish she and her man would postpone that return a little more as she needs rest and sleep so much! At the least I'm glad her surgeon saw her yesterday when we'd returned for help and he told her she must reckon with one year of time for healing and regaining control over her arm again!
Thank you all lots and lots for your well wishes! They helped me and my girl was and is pleased to hear them too :-) I'll take my laptop and camera along to theirs again and will try to find time to add my blips again.
... initially I'd uploaded a photo of reflections, but the size wasn't accepted... so it's blossoms from around the block.
