Ramadan

Arrived in Turkey at last ..... for the last day of Ramadan. Celebratory cannons were fired at dusk and tomorrow is a day off work for most Turkish families.

This means that most shops will be shut, and since we are self catering, we had to go shopping for essentials almost as soon as we arrived.

A rather stressful start as we don't speak or read Turkish and lots of things were unfamiliar.

However we do now have breakfast tomorrow, washing up liquid, and beer - so are sorted!

Late night dip in the swimming pool has been a nice end to a long day :-)
