Provand’s Lordship
The talk at my Architecture and Design Club meeting this month was about Provand’s Lordship, and as I had never visited it before, I went along beforehand to see for myself the oldest house in Glasgow. Provand’s Lordship was built in 1471 and is one of only four surviving medieval buildings in Glasgow. The talk was very interesting and informative, split between an overview of Glasgow Life, the charitable organisation that advances culture and sport in the city, and a talk about the recent renovations at Provand’s Lordship by one of the heritage consultants that oversaw the work.
