Accommodated. Voigtlander Color-Skopar 28mm
I had some time this morning to kill and decided to head over to a favorite spot: Mt. Auburn Cemetery. By mid-March, I expected some bird life and trees beginning to bud. In fact, I was greeted by a really cold wind from Canada - complete with a retaliatory tariff -, no birds and no buds. I sat on a bench hoping that something would materialize, but it didn't. So I consoled myself with a grand monument surrounded by the yet-naked trees, - the Extra - and headed back into Cambridge. Along fancy Brattle Street, my eye caught a detail as I drove by: a fence in front of one of the mansions cut to accommodate the growth of an old oak tree. On closer examination, I noticed that the city had bricked the sidewalk around the trunk too. The scene makes for a nice still life in mono.
