East, A Woman Shifting On The Time Axis...

Oscar wanted to use my camera.

At 9 years old he has a charm that is unthreatening. People willingly let him take their portrait. I have been helping him with composition and aspect and in just a day he is producing some great results.

This is his shot of some of the members from 'East, A Woman Shifting On The time Axis...' performed by the Water Reflection Dance Ensemble, taken on The Golden Mile.

There is a lovely intimacy in this shot that contrasts with the reality...a street of noise and friendly chaos.

The formal costumes of the show are rich and vibrant but I think black and white works here.

We are all enjoying Edinburgh.
