The Horror!

Some sadistic bastard has just turned on a massive 1 trillion lux projector on College Green, much to the distress of the local population.

His name is Helios, apparently. 

Later, there was a wonderful concert in the perfectly designed Whyte Hall at the RIAM. 
No matter how good a stereo one owns, there is nothing that even comes close to the experience of a perfectly competent chamber orchestra performing live, within spitting distance (not that I'd ever dream of spitting on ladies in fancy sparkly black dresses and gents in sobre dark grey suits). 
I even bumped into Dublin Shooter on the way out. He was enthralled with Beethoven's 4 th while it was Mendelssohn's Fair Mellusine that really blew my skirt up.
