Catkins

I woke very early and with too much on the brain about things to do I was up by 6 and spent a fair chunk of the day working through the list.

It was very constructive and much progress was made, including finding some papers I had been looking for the Pat few days.

I did get out when taking my wife to meet friends in town. in the garden the catkins were looking fresh in the breeze ( the quince in the background also provided some colour).

It prompted the question as to which plants produce catkins. Googling the answer esp from the woodland trust provided some fascinating insight into the variety of catkins and their airborne reproduction.
