Cloudless
This is a bit of a cheat. It was taken yesterday. I've not carried my phone anywhere today.
I had a physiotherapy appointment in town this morning, with the wonderful Nicola who continues to treat my back from time to time, with great success.
Today she needled a couple of tight muscles then massaged them. They are a hangover from the damage I did to my spine 10 months ago when Bean and I ran into each other as we simultaneously moved to avoid each other during some zoomies (hers, not mine).
Nicola mentors students from the local high schools and today she was joined by a delightful Year 12 from the girls' school doing work experience. Her hope is to train as a physiotherapist if she gets the right grades in her final exams.
The three of us had a very long chat and for the first time in a while I was filled with hope for, and seriously impressed by the next generation. She was thoughtful, realistic, empathetic and interested in learning.
If the world is in hands like hers, all might be well. Just as soon as they can wrest the world out of the hands of the current bunch of self-serving &*@(*^s.
I can't write with much coherence about the latest machinations of so-called peace talks, destruction, killing, sackings, threats, cajoling, accusations, bullying, and all the other things which dominate the news at the moment.
Just one thought however: how much does the media give oxygen to fan the flames of the current extremist behaviour? I would really like media organisations to take a long hard look at themselves and their own culpability for what's going on...
