Nice eyes, shame they belong to a vampire!

First day in Norfolk, and what should I find....this beautiful fly, I could rave on for hours about the amazing colour of it's eyes, but to be really honest, I took 4 shots and ran like a baby as this is a nasty biting horse fly, of the genus Chrysops!!!! also known as deer flies!
Fortunately for me it did not give chase, and soon after it started to rain, which developed into a full blown thunder storm.
I guess as I have said before not everything in life is good taken at face value.
