Primroses
Not the most startling picture of primroses but if I can unpack the feeling for a moment, which is the reason I took and posted it. I have always adored primroses. They remind me of the school holidays in Devon where the woods I rode in were full of them and they remind me of the front lawn at Catherington which my father rarely mowed so they came back better and better and more varied in colour each year. I want the same effect on the verge outside the house and returning from a lunchtime walk with a recalcitrant dog I was pleased to see how many there were.
Gardening leave is over so I’m currently unemployed until I start the new job on April 1. So I celebrated by having the shingles vaccine and a coffee in Petersfield. Made coleslaw for lunch, walked the dog and then went into the barn office, mainly to do Life-min but also mop up some work as I need to carry my projects through.
Cooked lamb and vegetables, watched the last of Thousand Blows, a curiously lopsided drama and read more of Brooklyn, a novel I’ve never got round to reading but with the sequel out I have decided to plunge in.
