Bright

Even though I hardly ever find myself cycling at night, the failure of the front light on my bike has been very annoying. Maybe it's the outrageous £75 price tag on the replacement. Maybe it's the fact that the cause of the failure is the shitty little slide on crimp connectors that bring the power from the battery to the light. Maybe it's the tantalising possibility of the 6v output on the light that has me thinking that I could charge my phone or power something else from the bike battery if only the shitty light would work. Whatever. I spent an unreasonable portion of the day dismantling it, taking off the connectors and replacing them with waterproof plugs that look a bit ugly but work although they'll probably make an annoying rattle when I'm riding and I'll be complaining about them tomorrow.
