The Blip Enigma

is how such a diverse group of people can all meet up and get on so well together .... ?

Several of us had a great blipmeet for Hildasrose's birthday at Bletchley Park ... coffee, cake, lunch, birthday cake, and, more coffee were consumed.
We even took a few photographs!

My blip is part of the rotor assembly from an Enigma machine which was a fundamental part of the coding device used by the German forces in WW2, but the code breakers at Bletchley Park were also working on Italian and Japanese codes.  It is relatively easy to understand the contribution of the codebreakers - even without following the mathematics.  What the museum does really well is to show the contribution made by so many others who made the whole operation possible.  Many of them were unsung women, working in offices just like the one in the extra.   Note the sensible handbags!

There were 15 of us including the non-blipping partners.

Great to catch up with everyone and try to figure out where we had first met.
