We had a bit of a late start this morning, but woke to another very bright, sunny although cold day.
Ian's funeral was today and we had been concerned for all the family, but it was a very thoughtful service and everyone was fine in the end. RIP Ian, a fine man. Even Ben was there, who was good as gold, it was arranged that Karen would take him out if he caused any noise. No problem though.
It was a really lovely reception afterwards and it was lovely to see Aileen, my Lindsay's best friend, who was there with her husband and daughter. We don't see each other so often but it is always emotional to see her and think that Lindsay would have been her age too, and imagine what that would have been like. Sorry, I am wandering a bit. And Aileen saw Lindsay's grandson for the first time, she was thrilled to see him.
Bob and I left quite early as it was so noisy, and we took a wee trip up to Eaglesham, from where I snapped the main picture, if you look closely you can see Ben Lomond on the left hand side, it was such a clear day.
