The Burrell Collection

We had a lie in this morning and an easy lead up to a delicious lunch at the Douglas Bakery.  From there we drove to Pollok Park in Glasgow. P went to work for a couple of hours and J and I toured the eclectic Burrell Collection in this creatively, beautifully lit building. Much thought has obviously gone into how to make the collected objects appeal to a wide audience and I particularly liked that some of the collection posed questions to make us think about the artwork etc.. Degas’ Ballerina Class literally came alive to explain the way the work was structured, which I found very impressive.

The Collection viewed we took a walk in the park to wait for P and to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine.

Back home J made us a delicious curry for dinner.
