Agatha Christie’s Mother

Greenway House, Agatha Christies holiday home is open again after a National Trust winter break.  We walked there from Galmpton, plotting a new route with less hills. We were delighted to receive vouchers for free hot drinks because we walked there. This is a temporary initiative I think, but most welcome. It was great to look round the house again and the blip is a large photograph of Agatha Christie’s mother, Clarissa Miller, taken at her home in Torquay. There were some great views today but I like this eccentric portrait of one of the well to do women of Torquay. It was a grand day of blue skies and sunshine, but still quite cold.
In Galmpton Mill Creek I photographed the remains of the old boat as usual. Not much left of it now. See Extra. For how  it looked in 2021, see below.

Everything is unlucky when it comes to the sea, Removing old wooden wrecks is definitely unlucky, so it will be there for some time.
Bird of the day was the cheeky Robin, begging in the sunshine outside the cafe. It is a few months since we walked here. I would do it again tomorrow for the free drink but we have other plans.
