An unexpected treat.
An early start to visit Cousin Kate who had planned a moochy day in Worcestershire. First stop was The Fold Community farm for their monthly "Second Hand Saturdays" market which was lovely. I thought it was going to be my Blip, but there were no free tables in their very nice cafe, so we went, by chance, to The Firs, Elgar's Birthplace and NT property. You can always rely on the NT for a nice bowl of soup. The unexpected treat was a Cello recital by the very lovely Corrinne Frost. We were the last in and the only seats left were on the front row! Imagine that! Superb musically, excellent improvisation, really good rapport with the audience, especially children and she played requests. It couldn't have been any better. Live music is always a treat, but this was extra special.
