Back to the more mundane…
After the excitement and scenery of last week and the activities in Bristol and Shropshire we’re back in Kent, back to finding blips rather than them finding me! It somehow feels different, there’s a finite time left here.
So it was back to the more everyday, a walk through Mote Part, calling in at Tesco’s to buy supplies to tide us over until the main shop on Tuesday. We regularly pass this old house and garden tucked away in the Park; in the spring it comes into its own.
We know nothing about it, whether it’s occupied, how old it is… I suspect it was a farmhouse on the Mote Estate, who knows.
After lunch I got away to the allotment; pulled up the last vegetables, spread the last of the mulch, covered a brambly patch with cardboard and a tarpaulin to suppress the weeds and edged part of the beds. Oh! The wind was mighty keen.
Regular Saturday evening now. Railway tomorrow at Rolvenden.
