Quiet Carr

This area near the source of the river Test is a recently restored carr. A waterlogged woodland, we're lucky to have people willing to organise funding and volunteers in the area. The tree fell during the restoration but fits the purpose and has been left. The area is more open than it was, the annual duck race deferred and people discouraged from paddling. However the species are benefitting and it's still lovely to walk or cycle past.
