Mountains, lochs and streams.

Waited in until after lunchtime for another delivery and then gave up. Decided that the weather wasn't going to improve so the guys donned shorts and we headed for the hills. Started out at Queen's View. On a good day you get a fantastic view up Loch Tummel, but clouds again today so the son was not impressed. Went further up lots of very bendy roads to Loch Rannoch before deciding to head back.

K reminded us (again) that he had done lots of walking in the hills around here for his DofE and the son was fascinated by the idea that Schiehallion translated as the "faerie mountain". Anyway, after a conversation about orks, we headed for Pitlochry. Picked up this image of a burn there. Processed it using Fractalius to bring up the colour as everything I took today seems to have been pervaded by the grey, grey, greyness that typifies a Scottish summer holiday. Ah well, we're supposed to get a bit of relief from the rain on Saturday before heading back into more of the wet stuff next week!
