Melodic Shadows

Standing partly in the shadows and partly in the reflected light of the IDS Center, singer, songwriter and composer Nick Rod wowed the lunchtime crowd. Though you could hear the distant echoes of Kurt Cobain and the energy of Eddie Vedder in his music, Nick has an earthly style and tone of his own and his range might just be better. A self-taught musician and new to busking on my One Street, Nick lit up my hurried lunchtime break.

I have not been here at all this week, a week that feels like one of the longest I have ever had and we are just at the halfway mark. This week has been a complete buzz saw and an emotional rollercoaster. And the next couple of weeks are not looking much better. But...better to be busy than bored.
