While on my runs

I was back in the garden today; two hours in the morning and three more this afternoon. The original owner had used bricks to make an edging for the lawn. The bricks she used had eight holes in them. I had cleaned up a good number of the bricks, only to find that one, then two, three and four had a root from one or other of the nearby trees passing through one of the holes.

I suppose the root grew outwards and passed over the brickand was attracted downwards, which meant through one of the holes.

The extra is of a remnant of a now departed Ponga (tree fern). In a sort of fit of whimsy, I placed this in a corner created by bricks and ponga logs. It is easier to see it being something other than a part of a ponga log.

The mess that is the provision of school lunches could have been managed better. Even more so, if Mr Seymour had the simple ability to say that it really is chaos and is unacceptable; but he seems more able to deride those parents who depend on free lunches  for their child(ren) than to apologise and accept the blame as he was the person who insisted that a foreign company have the contract for the whole country. He also slips readily into slagging off the previous government alleging that they didn't actually provide free lunches.
