Peel Forrest

Today my friends and I had an awesome day out. Went to church which they enjoyed and then off to Peel Forrest. Kevin and Lynley had never been there before and were mightily impressed. Such a lovely place.
We went to the church on Mt Peel station. It was badly damaged by the Canterbury earthquake but has now been fully restored plus the cemetery 
After this it was back into Peel Forrest where we enjoyed our picnic lunch. By this time it was 2pm and I was starving
We then went for a wonderful bush walk. The native birds were truly a joy to see. The black fantail being my main blip
Amongst the extras is Kevin and Lynley standing by the Forrest giant
We have packed much into the weekend.
