A truth about long, winning runs in football is that they will come to an end, and usually against unfancied opposition. And so, after ten consecutive home wins in the league, Bradford City’s run finished against Tranmere Rovers, who didn’t threaten much all game but converted a soft penalty for a 0-1 win.
City missed their chance to go level on points at the top of the League Two table, but stay second for the moment.Tranmere eased their relegation fears.
Earlier, I’d headed down to Saltaire for a record fair - it seemed a quieter event than usual, with fewer stall holders, but that made it a bit less overwhelming and I could take my time browsing the bargain bins.
