Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

We went to see an exhibition in London today about 20th century Brazilian art. It was on at the Royal Academy in Piccadilly.

The exhibition itself was a mixed affair, but certainly with some lovely colourful and thought provoking images, and also the opportunity to learn about art in a culture I know very little about. I did not realise until today that Brazil was the only South American country to take part in the second world war, declaring on the side of the allied forces. It even sent combat troops to the European theatre.

A selection of pictures from the exhibition can be found here.

Afterwards TSM went off to meet a friend with a view to going to Spittlefields market. I walked back to Waterloo stopping to buy vegan fish and chips in Villiers Street. This was filling and good value but a bit disappointing. I bought about half the chips home with me and we'll see how they respond to my pan frying upgrade.

I was pleased to get a letter today telling me that my bowel screening was negative. Not so good was the difficulty I had walking home with pains in my back and hips. I really do feel like something of an old crock at the moment but I do have an appointment with the GP on Wednesday. Maybe they can rebuild me…
