Kipper Cabin

Venison

I didn't see them til I was on top of them. They tend to blend in despite their size, particularly at this time of year when the grass is so dry. I had to take a quick snap and turn away. They don't dart off upon sighting you. No, they stare at you. And stare. And if you happen to look like a dog they batter you with their hooves.

City deer eat apples, hydrangea, day lilies, asters, roses, and anything lush and juicy, which is essentially everything except cedar. Oh, and they don't like sage. My front garden is full of cedar and sage ... and chewed up hydrangea.

(Composition .... I must work on that too. One of them appears to be footless)
