I recall learning to drive and shift in a '34 Ford Coupe with no front window and a real bucket for a bucket seat. I could barely reach the clutch pedal and ripping around the back 40 acres (I was 10 y.o.) where I couldn't get hurt I would get up to speed while wiping away grasshoppers coming in through the windowless front. What a gass...and the grasshoppers were just extra protein...not half bad tasting either.
