Snakeshead Fritillaria

Spotted this little group growing in the shelter of a large weeping Acer, where the light was a bit dim. No others are showing through in the garden yet possibly because the night temperatures are still in minus figures with frosts.
Another sunny day but with bitter Easterly winds, a direction from which there is no shelter.
