Battle ground
This is the flood plain between the River Teme and the River Severn south of Worcester. In Civil War times in the seventeenth century this was where the Battle of Powick Bridge and the Battle of Worcester were fought. There is now a new road bridge over the Severn which has been raised to stop the road flooding. This was taken from the new viewpoint with information boards concerning history of the area. You should be able to see a section of a new cycle route, part of the Rover, and the Malvern Hills in the background
