Out for lunch

We went out with friends to a charity lunch today. It was lovely food, turkey or beef, and there were many dessert choices. I had the Bakewell tart which was excellent and very moist. I won a bottle of Jameson's whiskey in the raffle as well.
Unfortunately, I had to tell our friends that one of our group died last night. He found out he had a brain tumour in January and they couldn't treat it. He was my friend at work so I've known him for 40 years. It was helpful to be out today with people who knew him.
