As important as the slim pocketability (and the ability to fit into the small brown camera bag) is the quickness of the release of the head on the new wee tripod, which is only a couple of seconds more convenient than screwing into the base but has so far been a great boon and encouragement in making an effort to pop out with a camera of an evening. I'll need to fish out a couple of the wee velcro divider things in order to come out with more than one lens as I didn't quite have the right  kit on me to get another photo of the materials before it disappears.
