Polyanthus
Over the last week we have sold out of primroses. The picture is of polyanthus which over the years we have only grown a few thousand perhaps in round figures 10,000 or so. Primroses are far more popular and over the last 41 years we have produced over a million of them. This may be the last year that we do them. Tidied the benches this morning and watered the few we have left for baskets and containers. Helen has a photograph of me holding a tray of the first ones we grew in a twin span polytunnel when I was not long out of college.
Always liked the images from the XT1. More film like than most digital cameras which can look far too clinical.
Very busy on the nursery at the moment. Helens Mum still in hospital. Behind with all things Blip.
Sunny day but a cold nip in the air. Frosty the last few mornings.
