Sunday: Iris

We had plans to go into central London today but K is experiencing some dental issues which left her very uncomfortable.  We decided to cancel our plans as it would have been a bit of an ordeal for her (and there was food involved),  Tomorrow she will have to set about finding a dentist so wish us luck with that.

Instead I got the papers and we really enjoyed sitting with those (just to reassure you, we did also read them).  We also watched the Newcastle match and are delighted that they’ve won the cup after so many years.  My family WhatsApp group is bursting with emotion tonight.

I also finished my book, Iris Murdoch’s ‘Under The Net’.  K is a huge fan and has read all of her novels.  I am a mere novice by comparison, having only read about 4 or 5 of hers but this was hilarious.  She really did do farce very well.
