Don’t Look Up!

But if you keep your eyes down, you won’t see the ring around the sun!  It was a fantastic thing, a huge eerie dark circle with a thin bright colored border. I had my fist in front of my eyes to block the hottest part, and I kept sneaking peeks to see if it was changing. I’m guessing it lasted for about half an hour before the wind seemed to blow it apart. I was surprised that there weren’t crowds gawping and pointing, or running for cover like in the movies, but the truth of it is that I don’t think anyone noticed.
