Sunlight on the money plant

Lovely new branch of what the Chinese here call "the money plant". My Chinese mother-in-law had one outside her front door and she proudly noted that it was growing above the roof, signifying her belief that the family would be blessed with money. Its mature leaves change to bright green as you can see upper right.
Spent a few hours at the Honolulu Museum of Art this afternoon and these iris and plants were in an Asian courtyard. I didn't know that the first Wednesday of each month is a "free" day, so visited the gift shop (to look at what's new) and then wandered . . . Outstanding exhibit on Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keeffe, relating to their works done while visiting the islands. And an equally fascinating exhibit on samurai, weapons, armour, banners. Unfortunately cameras were barred from both exhibits, otherwise I could show you some truly amazing shots that exist only in my mind's eye.
