Bright Forsythia on a very dull day,
Cold and grey day today.
I had a wander upon the garden after lunch on my crutches, for some exercise. It felt good to be out, even though it is chilly.
I was checking out the shrubs and plants. I have lost a lovely Hellebore over the winter.
The Quince is beginning to flower up by the side of the shed, where the. clumps of spiky bluebell leaves are already very much in evidence.
They are not our native bluebells but I like them just the same when they are out,
It must be chilly as our heating has just come on. It works on a thermostat, and comes on when the temperature in the kitchen drops below the daily setting.
We can override it at any time,
Our friend.Karen dropped by yesterday afternoon with some yummy blocks of chocolate for us both,, Stephen likes it Very Dark and I like the Milk variety,
She didn’t come in as she hasn’t been well and didn’t want to pass on any bugs. Along with the chocolate blocks were two bunches of small daffodils which are now brightening up the front lounge.
Photo of Quince in extras.
