Mono Monday - Organic

When I saws this challenge I immediately thought that buds on. trees would be an appropriate subject as they demonstrate very clearly the organic nature of trees. However, when it came to photographing them I struggled as the very first buds are only just becoming visible so they are very small and needed macro approach. Also it is their very greenness sets them apart from the twigs on which they grow which would be lost in the mono format. I therefore pursued an image which would set them apart from the background. This are hawthorn buds on an isolated bush in John Muir Country Park.
