The Curious Affair of The Galaxy Eater

We are still enjoying our lovely holiday in Norfolk. Our cottage, a converted barn and mirror image of our friends' adjoining cottage, is on a farm with nothing but fields around us. Our views are of the fields and the occasional deer and pheasants. The dogs love it and so do we.

We went to Felbrigg Hall today and gave the dogs a good walk around the estate. Our friends' dog, Kara is 15 and almost blind but she plods around quite happily. Mad Jak seems to have a great respect for her and they get on really well. 

Now to the title. The Galaxy is my electronic tablet. Like an iPad but much bigger. That's relevant to the story as it went missing, it's not small, it's almost laptop size. I had it while sat in a chair this afternoon. Then it vanished. I mean really vanished. We looked under chairs, cushions mats, the dog, everywhere! Panicking, I resorted to checking the oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher. It was gone. 

At the point of despair, I decided to push my hand down the joints of the chair. There it was, deep inside, swallowed whole. Fortunately it was unharmed by the monster Galaxy Eater, not so sure I can say the same for me though.
